This recipe was given to me by one of the volunteer fireman's wives when my husband was on the fire department 20 years ago. He was a volunteer for 30 years back in Saginaw, Michigan Station #3.

Ingredients
- CRUST:
- 2/3 cup oleo (margarine)
- 2/3 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
How To Make cheese cake squares

Step 1Cream oleo and sugar; add flour and nuts. Reserve 1 1/2 cups of this mixture for topping. Press remaining mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking pan. Bake at 350^ for 15 minutes. Set aside. --- Filling: 1/2 cup granulated sugar 2 pkg. (8 oz. each) cream cheese ,softened 2 large eggs 4 Tablespoons milk 2 Tablespoons lemon juice 1 teaspoon vanilla Blend sugar and cream cheese until fluffy. Add eggs, milk, juice and vanilla Beat all together until smooth. Spread over baked crust and sprinkle reserved topping over cheese mixture. Bake for 25 minutes at 350^. Cool and cut into squares.
