My late husband, Tom, and I made these delicious treats every year for our family. We also made extra for the mailman, our sons' bus driver, the trash collectors, and the paperboy as a thank you each Christmas.

Ingredients

  • One box golden raisins
  • One jar red cherries, candied
  • One jar green cherries, candied
  • One 6-oz packages each: walnuts, pecans, and almonds, chopped
  • One can sweetened condensed milk (may need an additional can)
  • One box vanilla wafers, crushed
  • One package sweetened coconut flakes
  • One package candied mixed fruit
  • One package gumdrops, small multicolored, halved
  • One box confectioners' sugar

How To Make charlee's snow logs

  • Step 1
In a large bowl, combined all ingredients except sweetened condensed milk. Once combined, begin drizzling in the condensed milk. You may not need all of it or you might need an additional can. Add just enough until the mixture holds together. Roll into logs two inches by eight inches.
  • Step 2
On a large platter longer than the log, spread a layer of confectioners' sugar. Roll the logs in the sugar. Wrap each log with plastic wrap that is longer than each log, twist the ends and tie with brightly colored ribbon. Store in the refrigerator.
