Ingredients
- 1 - egg
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1 cup chopped dates
- 1 cup coconut
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup confectionary sugar
- 1/2 stick butter or margarine
- 1 jar maraschino cherries
How To Make cassarole cookies

Step 1Preheat oven to 350

Step 2Butter a cassarole dish

Step 3Mix egg and sugar in the cassarole dish

Step 4Add remaining ingredients until well combined

Step 5Bake for 30 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes

Step 6Allow Cookie mixture to cool Slice cherries in half and place on paper towels to drain and dry.

Step 7Butter your hands and form walnut size balls. Roll in confectionary sugar and top with 1/2 cherry. Allow to air dry for 6 hours.. store in air tight container. Do not let them touch
