Ingredients
- 3 cups fast and festive cookie mix
- 1 large egg
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup dark brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
How To Make caramel pecan bars

Step 1Heat the oven to 350 degrees F. lightly grease a 13" x 9" pan.

Step 2In a large bowl combine fast and festive mix and egg until well blended. Mixture will still be crumbly. Press evenly into the pan. Sprinkle the pecans on top. Bake for 11 - 16 minutes until edges are light golden brown.

Step 3Meanwhile, in a small saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar and butter. Cook until the mixture comes to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Pour the caramel over the partially baked crust. Bake 7-10 more minutes until the caramel is bubbly and the crust is a light golden brown.

Step 4Immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly over the caramel mixture. Cool completely before cutting into 36 bars.
