candy cane crinkles, sandy
No idea where my mother in law got this recipe, but since I love anything peppermint, had to get it! Haven't tried it yet, so if you do before I do, let me know how good it is!

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup butter, room temp
- 1 tablespoon vanilla
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt (i would omit as i don't add salt to anything i bake)
- 1/2 teaspoon powder
- 1/2 teaspoon soda
- 3 1/4 cups flour
- 1 cup vanilla chips
- 2/3 cup crushed candy canes (use brach's peppermints instead)
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
How To Make candy cane crinkles, sandy

Step 1Oven to 350 degrees. Mix butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla, scrape down bowl.

Step 2Add salt (if using), powder, soda, flour, chips and crushed brach's, powder too. Put powdered sugar on a plate. Take 1 T dough, roll into a ball, roll in powdered sugar. Coat all well.

Step 3Put on parchment paper lined cookie sheets. Bake 9-11 min. Bottoms should be very lightly browned, tops look like matte finish.
