How to Make Buttery True Scotch Shortbread cookies
- HEAT oven 250.
- BEAT butter and sugar together. ADD 1 cup at a time of flour until completely mixed.
- PRESS into cookie molds to less than 1/2 inch thick. (if you don't have molds you could use cut out designs or 9 X 13 pan and pre cut 2 inch squares so it is easy to break apart.)
- BAKE at 250 for 1 hour and 20 minutes. TEST after 1 hour for doneness by breaking a small piece off should be firm and crunchy.
