  • 3 c
    butter or margaine, melted and cooled
  • 6
  • 6 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 6 tsp
    baking powder
  • 3 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    cream of tartar
  • 10 1/2 c
    all purpose flour

How to Make Butterscotch Cookies


  1. Blend well all ingredients except flour, use an electric mixer if possible. Slowly add in 10 1/2 cups of all purpose flour.
  2. Roll into walnut sized balls, place 2" apart on lightly greased cookie sheet, or use parchment paper. Bake 10 -12 minutes at 350 degrees.
