There was a Butterfinger cookie posted a few weeks ago by Clairessa Raine, this was her original recipe before she made corrections; this is the exact recipe I tried and my husband and friends loved them, so I guess they are good either way.

Ingredients For butterfinger cookies revisited

  • 1/2 c
    butter, softened
  • 3/4 c
    sugar
  • 2/3 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 2
    egg whites
  • 1 1/4 c
    peanut butter
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 5
    butterfinger candy bars, chopped

    In a large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in egg whites. Stir in Peanut Butter.

    Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; Gradually add to the creamed mixture. Stir in candy bars.

    Shape into 1 1/2 in balls and place 2 inces apart on greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Remove and cool on wire rack.
