Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, browned
  • 1/2 cup shortening, butter flavor
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 - 11 oz packages white chocolate chips

How To Make browned butter white chocolate sugar cookies

  • Step 1
If you haven't yet, brown your butter. Allow to cool to room temperature. Preheat oven to 350. Line cookie sheets with parchment if desired.
  • Step 2
Cream together butter, (every last lil bit of the butter, scrape all those lil bits into your bowl.) shortening and sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla, until creamy.
  • Step 3
Mix in flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar. Then gently stir in chips. Scoop and shape into balls, roll in sugar. I would've used raw sugar for rolling, if I'd had some. Place onto prepared cookie sheets, flatten slighty and bake 12-16 min depending on size of your scoop. 1/4 c scoop is 16 min.
