Browned Butter White Chocolate Sugar Cookies

Wendy Rusch

I happen to have a block of white chocolate in my freezer, wanted to make cookies, just didn't know what kind. When this idea just popped into my head.
They are wonderful. The browned butter really stands out. Yum Yum
Hope you enjoy them half as much as my grandsons!!!
Happy Baking!!!

How to Make Browned Butter White Chocolate Sugar Cookies

  1. If you haven't yet, brown your butter.
Allow to cool to room temperature.
    Preheat oven to 350.
Line cookie sheets with parchment if desired.
  2. Cream together butter, (every last lil bit of the butter, scrape all those lil bits into your bowl.) shortening and sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla, until creamy.
  3. Mix in flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar. Then gently stir in chips.
Scoop and shape into balls, roll in sugar. I would've used raw sugar for rolling, if I'd had some.
Place onto prepared cookie sheets, flatten slighty and bake 12-16 min depending on size of your scoop. 1/4 c scoop is 16 min.
