brown sugar maple cookies
This recipe cried out to be cut out with leaf cookie cutters. Lovely for Fall.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter, softened
- 3/4 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/3 cup maple syrup
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 egg
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
How To Make brown sugar maple cookies

Step 1Cream together butter and brown sugar.

Step 2Add maple syrup and vanilla and beat until light and fluffy.

Step 3Add egg and mix until combined.

Step 4Add flour and baking soda and beat until well combined and dough forms a ball.

Step 5Refrigerate at least one hour, or over night.

Step 6Roll out dough to 1/4" thickness.

Step 7Place on parchment lined cookie sheet.

Step 8Freeze until firm, about 20-25 minutes.

Step 9Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 10Bake cookies 12-14 minutes until golden brown.

Step 11Cool on cookie sheet 5 minutes.

Step 12Transfer to wire rack to cool completely.
