Although I love baking, cookies are my least favorite thing to make! I guess because I made so many thousands of cookies for school parties for the kids and grandkids! HAHA! But these Bitty Goats are quick, easy and delightful! They are a great hit with young and old alike and are one of my family's favorites along with Snickerdoodles! Hope you try them and like them as well as we do!

Ingredients

  • 1 c
    butter
  • 3
    egg yolks
  • 2 1/2 c
    flour
  • 1/8 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    nutmeg
  • 2 Tbsp
    buttermilk
  • 2 c
    pecans, chopped
  • 1 large
    dates, chopped
  • 1 1/2 c
    sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla
  • 1 tsp
    soda
  • 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon

How to Make Bitty Goats

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix all ingredients well.
  2. Pinch off small balls and flatten on ungreased cookie sheet.
  3. Bake at 325 for 10 to 12 minutes until done.
