basket buddy bars
These bars are so darn yummy! I use the semisweet chips. This recipe was originally in a Longaberger cookbook I got when I was a consultant. Enjoy!

How To Make basket buddy bars
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine peanut butter and butter in bowl of an electric mixer fitted with the flat paddle. Mix 1 minute on medium speed, or until smooth. Add sugar, eggs and vanilla. Beat until creamy. Scrape down the sides of the bowl. Add flour and salt. Blend on low speed until just incorporated. Fold 1 cup chocolate chips into the batter. Spread batter into an ungreased 9x13 baking pan. Bake on middle rack for 20-28 minutes (see note) or until edges begin to brown. Remove from oven and sprinkle remaining chocolate chips over baked cookie. Let stand 5 minutes to soften. Spread softened chips evenly over top. Cool completely before cutting into bars. Store at room temperature. Makes 24-30 bars. Note: If using a metal baking pan, baking time will be between 20-25 minutes.
