Ingredients

1/4 c
vegetable oil
1/4 c
sugar
1
egg
1 tsp
vanilla
1/2 c
unsweetened applesauce
1/2 c
whole wheat flour
1/2 c
unbleached flour
2 tsp
baking powder
1/2 tsp
baking soda
1 tsp
cinnamon
1/8 tsp
cloves
1/2 c
rolled oats
1/2 c
raisins - dark or golden

How to Make Applesauce Raisin Cookies/Diabetic Friendly

Step-by-Step

  • 1Cream the oil and sugar together. Then add the egg and beat until light.
  • 2Next blend in the vanilla and applesauce
  • 3Stir the flours, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves, oats, and raisins into the creamed mixture. Blend well.
  • 4Drop cookies onto a lightly oiled baking sheet using a teaspoon. Bake for 10 minutes at 375 degrees. Let cool on a wire rack before serving.
