Ingredients

BARS:

1 1/4 c
all purpose flour
6 Tbsp
butter
3/4 c
brown sugar, firmly packed
1
egg
1/2 c
apple butter
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 c
cinnamon chips

GLAZE:

2 Tbsp
butter, melted
1 c
powdered sugar
1 tsp
cinnamon
1-2 Tbsp
water

How to Make APPLE BUTTER BARS WITH CINNAMON GLAZE

Step-by-Step

  • 1For Bars:
    In a large bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until combined. Add the apple butter and egg; mix well.
  • 2In a separate bowl, whisk together flour and baking soda.
  • 3Add the flour mixture into the brown sugar mixture gradually, mixing until completely combined. Fold in the cinnamon chips.
  • 4Place mixture into a greased or sprayed 8-inch baking dish. Bake in a preheated 350-degree oven for 20-25 minutes or until knife comes out clean.
  • 5For Glaze:
    Mix the butter, powdered sugar and cinnamon. Add a tablespoon of water, one at a time, until desired glaze consistency is reached. Drizzle over cooked bars.
  • 6Serve warm.
