Ingredients
- 3 medium apples, golden delicious, sliced
- 6 medium plums, seeded and chopped
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons corn starch
- 1/3 cup water
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- CRUST/TOPPING
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 cups quick cooking rolled oats
How To Make apple and plum bars

Step 1Filling: In a med saucepan, combine apples, plums, sugar, water, corn starch, and salt.cook qt med heat for 10 minutes or until thickened. Set aside.

Step 2In a large bowl, sift flour, baking soda, baking powder. Cut in butter with pastry cutter. Stir in brown sugar and rolled oats. Press half of mixture into greased 13 x 9 inch baking pan. Pour fruit mixture on top; top with remaining flour mixture.

Step 3Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes, until top is slightly browned. Cool before cutting into bars.
