almost decadent snickerdoodles

My daughter and I both love Snickerdoodles but we've never found any store bought brands that quite did the trick for us. I started searching around for recipes and after experimenting here and there, came up with a winner for us. I think it should make at least four dozen if you can keep from picking on the cookie dough.

2 3/4 cflour

2 tspcream of tartar

1 tspbaking soda

1 boxbutterfinger minis

1 cshortening
-
1 1/2 csugar

3jumbo eggs

How To Make almost decadent snickerdoodles

11) Sift together flour, cream of tarter, baking soda and salt into a large bowl. Set aside. Take unwrapped Butterfingers, put into a plastic bag and break up (with a tenderizing mallet or whatever you have that does the job) into crumbs

22) In a mixing bowl cream shortening 3 Add sugar, eggs, crushed Butterfinger minis then dry ingredients and mix well (It’s going to form a dough – you may have to knead by hand)

33) Shape into balls the size of walnuts. 5 Pour cinnamon in a small bowl. 6 Roll each ball in the cinnamon. . 7 Place on cookie sheet about 2 inches apart.

48 Bake at 350º for 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown. 9 Remove cookies from cookie sheet and place on wire rack to cool.

5Or Omit the Butterfinger Minis for basic Snickerdoodles
