My Grandma made these every Christmas. These are the best cookies ever. I can eat them any time of the year, it doesn't have to be Christmas.

2 stick
butter, room temperature
2 c
sifted flour
1 c
chopped pecans
3/4 c
confectioners' sugar
1 Tbsp
1 tsp
vanilla extract
1 tsp
almond extract

How to Make Adelaide's Cocoons


  • 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2Cream butter and 1/4 cup of confectioner's sugar.
  • 3Add vanilla, almond extract, and water.
  • 4Blend in flour.
  • 5Add chopped pecans.
  • 6Form into small finger rolls by rolling in flour.
  • 7Bake in 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. These will not brown like a typical cookie.
  • 8While hot, roll in remaining confectioner's sugar.
