8 brothers favorite gourmet choc chip cookies
I named these cookies after my 8 brothers, because it is their all time favorite chocolate chip cookies. I have mentioned before that I have made many things for our family reunions over the years, & this happens to be one of them, I specifically named them after my brothers to distinguish the difference between these & the Family Reunion ones that I also make, both recipes are in my cookbook, I have made these away from home where no large bowl was available, and resorted to my old reliable stand by a large garbage bag. I sold out of these at an Indoor sales event. They're always a big hit.

How To Make 8 brothers favorite gourmet choc chip cookies
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Cream butter & both sugars until light & creamy. Add eggs and vanilla extract. Beat until well blended.
-
Step 2In a separate bowl combine the pulverized oatmeal with the flour, salt, baking powder, & baking soda, stir to mix together.
-
Step 3Gradually add oatmeal mixture to creamed mixture. When dough becomes stiff, add milk gradually until blended.
-
Step 4Shape dough into golf ball size shape, and place 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake in pre heated 375 degree oven & bake 7-8 minutes for soft batch cookies, or 9-10 minutes for firm cookies. Remove cookies from oven and leave on cookie sheet for at least 5 to 7 minutes, this allows them to continue to bake, and when cooled remove to wire rack to cool completely.
-
Step 5Please note: I only bake my cookies on air bake pans, because I feel air bake pans does a better job in baking with air, and cookies do not burn underneath, or get hard. Just my personal preference. This recipe is very similiar to Mrs. Fields Cookies that is all over the internet, I only changed 2 things in my version, my entire family love this recipe. This recipe can easily be cut in half.
