all purpose flour
1/3 c
plus 2 tbsp. sugar, divided
1 1/2 tsp
baking powder
1 tsp
baking soda
1/2 tsp
6 Tbsp
butter, unsalted, cut into pieces
1/2 c
vanilla or white chocolate chips
1/2 c
macadamia nuts, chopped
2/3 c
butter milk
1 large
egg, light whisked
1 tsp
vanilla extract

How to Make White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Scones


  • 1Preheat oven to 350*. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • 2In large bowl, combine flour, 1/3 cup of sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Using a pastry blender,(confession time, I use my fingers) cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add white chocolate chips and nuts; mix well.
  • 3In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk,egg,and vanilla extract. Add butter milk mixture to flour mixture, stirring until dough is just combined.
  • 4Drop by heaping teaspoonsful onto prepared baking sheets. Sprinkle with remaining sugar. Bake for 14 to 16 minutes till lightly browned. enjoy
