I'm not a fan of super sweet desserts....but oh how I love extra dark chocolate...I also am a fan of Guinness, so I came up with the recipe for a baked doughnut that incorporates both! I hope you enjoy it!

Ingredients
- 1 box dark chocolate cake mix
- 1 box chocolate instant pudding mix - large box
- 1 1/4 cups pastry flour
- 2 - large eggs
- 1/2 cup oil (canola or canola-olive oil blend)
- 1 1/4 cups guinness extra stout beer
How To Make valerie's guinness doughnuts
-
Step 1Whisk together one box (15.25 oz/432g) Dark chocolate cake mix and one box pudding mix instant chocolate 5.9 oz (167g). Whisk in 1 & 1/4 cup of cake/pastry flour. Blend in two large eggs. 1/2 cup canola oil (or olive oil canola blend) and 1 1/4 cup Guinness Extra stout ( that will leave a sip for the chef in the hot kitchen...) Mix until smooth. Pipe the dough into doughnut pans that have been sprayed with cooking spray. Hint: I use a Kitchen storage bag (Gallon size) with corner snipped. The dough will be stiff and sticky, I suggest spraying your spoon and the inside of the bag. Bake at 350° F. About 8-10 minutes you'll want to lightly touch the top of a doughnut and it should spring back. (Don't over bake)Turn out on rack to cool when cool enough to handle dip the tops in good quality melted semi-sweet chocolate. ( Wilber bud chips work great but so many possibilities come to mind!)Now comes the good part open a Guinness and enjoy a Guinness doughnut with it!! Enjoy!!
