Preheat oven to 350 degrees. While heating, melt butter and chocolate over medium heat.
Whisk in sugar, then eggs, vanilla, and salt. Stir in flour, scraping down sides.
Pour into parchment lined 8-inch square baking dish. Bake for 18-22 minutes until just springy in the center.
Let cool before cutting into squares. Serve with powdered sugar if desired!
