Ingredients For orange-chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes

  • 1 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1 tsp
    baking soda
  • 1 tsp
    sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    buttermilk
  • 1/2 c
    2% milk
  • 1 lg
    egg
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 Tbsp
    grated orange zest
  • 1/2 c
    semisweet chocolate chips
  • garnish: orange zest and chocolate

How To Make orange-chocolate chip buttermilk pancakes

    In large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar and salt and blend well.

    In small bowl, combine buttermilk, milk, egg and butter. Whisk just until blended. Add to flour mixture. Gently fold in orange zest and chocolate chips. Let stand 10 minutes.

    On lightly greased non-stick skillet, pour 4 Tbsp. of batter and cook until batter bubbles. Flip and cook 2 minutes longer or until golden brown. Serve with your favorite syrup or topping! Garnish with zest and chocolate chips if desired. 4 points per serving (2 pancakes)
