Lucille is a wonderful FRENCH TEACHER that over the years became my friend. Of course being FRENCH means that you like chocolate...but only the native really can appreciate the real genuine homemade FRENCH CHOCOLATE...this is what you call THE FRENCH CONNECTION...the one that had been borned into that culture...

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whipping cream
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chopped
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 4 - egg yolks
  • 11/2 tablespoons instant coffee powder

How To Make lucille's french chocolate mousse

  • Step 1
In a saucepan combine chocolate, heavy cream and instant coffee. Cook and stir over medium low heat until chocolate is completely melted.
  • Step 2
In the meanwhile beat egg yolks until foamy and thick. Lucille says that it is a very important stage of the recipe. Be patient and having your yolks very well whipped.
  • Step 3
While the yolks have reached their full potential add the chocolate mixture and fold it gently. Pour into demi- tasse cup and CHILL FOR 24 HOURS. Lucille loves to add a "coffee bean" on top ... ONLY THE FRENCH APPRECIATE the coffee beans...(chocolate beans)
