I always try to keep these bars on hand for a quick pick me up or for on the go eating.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup packed, light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup wheat germ
  • 3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1 - egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla

How To Make grab-n-go granola bars

  • Step 1
    Heat oven to 350. Spray a 9" x 13" baking pan w/ cooking spray. In lg bowl, mix together oats, brown sugar, wheat germ, cinnamon, flour, raisins, chocolate chips and salt.
  • Step 2
    Make a well in center of mix. Pour in the honey, egg, oil and vanilla. Mix weel, using hands. Pat the mix evenly into pan.
  • Step 3
    Bake 30-35 mins, or until edges start to brown. Cool 5 mins. Cut into bars while still warm. Don't let cool all the way before cutting into bars, or it will be too hard to cut through.
