Made these for a co-workers birthday and was a big hit. Very easy to make and big on flavor. Makes 4 dozen but can cut into bigger bars. Got this recipe from a recent Taste of Home Cake Mix book.

- 18-1/4 ounces boxed german chocolate cake mix
- 2/3 cup cold butter, cubed
- 1 cup semisweet chocolat chips
- 15 ounces can coconut-pecan frosting
- 1/4 cup milk
How To Make german chocolate bars

Step 1Place cake mix in large bowl; cut in butter until crumbly. Press 2-1/2 cup into a greased 13x9 pan. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes

Step 2Immediately sprinkle with chocolate chips. Drop frosting by tablespoonfuls over the chips.

Step 3Stir milk into the remaining crumb mixture; drop by teaspoonfuls over top. Bake 25-30 minutes longer. Cool on wire rack. Refrigerate 4 hours before cutting
