Another one of my Grandma's delicious frostings.

This frosting is best used for a white or chocolate layered cake.

Ingredients

chocolate, unsweetened squares (3oz.)
1/2 c
whipping cream
1
egg , slightly beaten
3 1/2 c
confectioners' sugar (more if needed)
1 tsp
almond or vanilla flavoring

How to Make Chocolate Cream Frosting

Step-by-Step

  • 1Chop the chocolate squares into small pieces.
  • 2Melt the chocolate and cream in a medium sauce pan on the stove on medium heat or in a double broiler .
  • 3Stir constantly until nice and smooth.
  • 4Add slightly beaten egg and cook until thick and smooth.
  • 5Remove from stove and pour into a mixing bowl , add the sugar gradually , beating until smooth.
  • 6Add the flavoring last of all.
  • 7Frost your favorite cake or cupcakes and enjoy.
