Another one of my Grandma's delicious frostings. This frosting is best used for a white or chocolate layered cake.

Ingredients

  • 3 - chocolate, unsweetened squares (3oz.)
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 - egg , slightly beaten
  • 3 1/2 cups confectioners' sugar (more if needed)
  • 1 teaspoon almond or vanilla flavoring

How To Make chocolate cream frosting

  • Step 1
    Chop the chocolate squares into small pieces.
  • Step 2
    Melt the chocolate and cream in a medium sauce pan on the stove on medium heat or in a double broiler .
  • Step 3
    Stir constantly until nice and smooth.
  • Step 4
    Add slightly beaten egg and cook until thick and smooth.
  • Step 5
    Remove from stove and pour into a mixing bowl , add the sugar gradually , beating until smooth.
  • Step 6
    Add the flavoring last of all.
  • Step 7
    Frost your favorite cake or cupcakes and enjoy.
