chocolate cookies (uncooked)
This recipe came to my mother from her own mother's great friend, Mrs. Grace Symes in Saskatoon. (My mum little knew at that time that Mrs. Symes would become her step-mother after my grandma's passing.) Mrs. Symes wrote out this recipe in 1942 to pass on to my mum when she married. I love that the measurement for the marshmallows is for a "10 cent package". My mum noted later on the card that this was about 1-1/2 cups. Also a mark of the times: the eggs are uncooked.....no worries about salmonella!
