This is one of those old time recipes but it is very delicious. It only takes 6 ingredients but it taste like a million. Enjoy !!!!!!!!!

  • 1 box
    cake mix, german chocolate
  • 2/3 c
    evaporated milk
  • 3/4 c
    butter, melted
  • 6 oz
    chocolate chips
  • 14 oz
  • 1 c
    chopped walnuts

How to Make Chocolate Carmel Bars


  1. Melt carmels with 1/3 cup of milk in double boiler. I use my microwave. Combine cake mix with remaining milk and all of the butter. Mix until dough holds together then stir in 1 cup of nuts. Press 1/2 of dough in greased and floured 13x9 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes. Remove from oven, Sprinkle chips on top of dough, then carmel mixture, then remaining dough. Bake 15 minutes more. Cut into squares and serve.
