  • 12 c
    popped corn
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    baking cocoa (to taste)
  • 3/8 c
    light corn syrup
  • 3/4 tsp
  • 3/4 tsp
    baking soda

How to Make Chocolate Caramel Corn


  1. In pan, melt butter; add sugar, cocoa, syrup, and salt.
    Sitr occasionally until bubbly around edges.
    Continue to cook over medium heat about 5 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat, stir in baking soda until foamy.
    Pour over popcorn (which has been divided among ungreased baking pans). Stir until corn is coated.
  3. Heat in a 200 degree oven for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
