Ingredients

2 stickbutter, softened

4 csifted powdered sugar
-
3/4-1 cunsweetened cocoa powder
-
1/4 cheavy cream
-
1 tspvanilla extract
-
1-2 Tbspcold coffee
How to Make Chocolate Buttercream Frosting
- In large bowl, cream butter with electric mixer. Add cocoa and vanilla. Gradually add sugar, one cup at a time, beating well on medium speed. Scrape sides and bottom of bowl often. When all sugar has been mixed in, icing will appear dry. Add cream and coffee and beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Keep bowl covered with a damp cloth until ready to use. Makes about 3 cups of frosting.
