Ingredients

1/2 cbutter, softened
-
1 csugar
-
2eggs
-
1 1/2 call purpose flour
-
1/2 cbaking cocoa
-
1/2 tspsalt
-
1/2 tspbaking powder
-
1/2 tspbaking soda
-
1 cbuttermilk
-
1/3 cpecans, chopped
-
(CHOCOLATE HONEY BUTTER)

1/2 cbutter, softened
-
2 Tbsphoney
-
2 Tbspchocolate syrup
How to Make Buttermilk Chocolate Bread
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
In a mixing bowl - cream the butter and sugar - Add eggs; one at a time, beating well after each addition
- In a seperate mixing bowl - combine the flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder, and baking soda
- Add the 2nd mixture to the cream mixture while alternately adding buttermilk
- Fold in pecans
- Pour into a greased 9 X 5 X 3-inch loaf pan
- Bake at 350 degrees F for 55 - 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean
- Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack
- In a mixing bowl - mix butter, honey and chocolate syrup; mix well
- Serve the Chocolate Honey Butter mixture with the bread
