Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 - eggs
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup baking cocoa
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1/3 cup pecans, chopped
- (CHOCOLATE HONEY BUTTER)
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup
How To Make buttermilk chocolate bread

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees F In a mixing bowl - cream the butter and sugar

Step 2Add eggs; one at a time, beating well after each addition

Step 3In a seperate mixing bowl - combine the flour, cocoa, salt, baking powder, and baking soda

Step 4Add the 2nd mixture to the cream mixture while alternately adding buttermilk
-
Step 5Fold in pecans

Step 6Pour into a greased 9 X 5 X 3-inch loaf pan

Step 7Bake at 350 degrees F for 55 - 60 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean

Step 8Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack

Step 9In a mixing bowl - mix butter, honey and chocolate syrup; mix well

Step 10Serve the Chocolate Honey Butter mixture with the bread
