1Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs and almond extract. Gradually blend in the flour and baking powder. Stir in the almonds and chocolate chips.
2Spread the batter evenly in n ungreased 9 X 13 baking pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted the center comes out clean. Cut into bars while still warm and cool in pan.
