Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, room temp
  • 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons almond extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 1/2 cups almonds, chopped
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

How To Make blond brownies

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar. Beat in the eggs and almond extract. Gradually blend in the flour and baking powder. Stir in the almonds and chocolate chips.
  • Step 2
    Spread the batter evenly in n ungreased 9 X 13 baking pan. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, until a toothpick inserted the center comes out clean. Cut into bars while still warm and cool in pan.
