Sweet blondies with decadent Almond Joy Pieces. A quick and delicious treat! You can add slivered almonds, mini semi sweet chips or coconut to tweak this recipe too!

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 c
    all purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp
    baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3/4 c
    unsalted butter or margarine
  • 1 3/4 c
    light brown sugar
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 1 tsp
    pure vanilla extract
  • 1 c
    almond joy pieces
  • 1/2 c
    slivered almonds, semi sweet choc. chips, or shredded coconut (if desired)

How to Make Almond Joy Pieces Blondies

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking pan.
  2. In mixer cream together sugar and butter. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla, mix til combined. In a small bowl sift together dry ingredients. Add by 3/4 cupful to creamed mixture til thoroughly combined. Stir in Almond Joy Pieces and any extras you choose to add.
  3. Spread into pan, it will be thick, but it will spread out to cover entire pan. Bake for 25 minutes. Cool several minutes before cutting into 16 bars.
