This is one of my husband's favorite recipes. He likes it equally well on chocolate grahams or cinnamon grahams.

Ingredients
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (1 1/2 sticks)
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar
- 14 chocoloate or cinnamon graham crackers
- 1/4 teaspoon coarse salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 20 small chocolate mint candies, chopped
How To Make toffee crack
-
Step 1Preheat oven to 350. Line a rimmed baking sheet with nonstick aluminum foil or parchment paper. I prefer the foil.
-
Step 2Place the graham crackers, either chocolate or cinnamon, face down on the cookie sheet with the sides touching.
-
Step 3Put the butter, sugar, and salt into a small saucepan and stir as it melts. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly, and let it bubble about 3 minutes. It should be foamy and bubbling. Pour over graham crackers, and spread with the back of a spoon.
-
Step 4Put the cookie sheet in the oven for about 8 minutes. It should be bubbling all over. Take it out of the oven and let it cool for about 4 minutes. Then sprinkle with the chopped pecans and candy bits. Let it cool completely, and refrigerate if necessary. Then break it into pieces and watch it disappear!
