Thelma's Penuche Fudge
I haven't made this yet but wanted to post the recipe for Kelly since she is looking for a Penuche recipe.
Whenever I make this I will be sure to add more details if I see that to be helpful.
- 2 c
- firmly packed brown sugar
- 1/3 c
- half & half
- 1 Tbsp
- 1 tsp
- vanilla extract
- 3/4 c
- chopped nuts
How to Make Thelma's Penuche Fudge
- 1Combine sugar, milk and butter in a saucepan. Boil with as little stirring as possible until it reaches the soft ball stage. Remove from heat.
- 2Stir in vanilla then fold in nuts. Beat until thick and cool enough to knead.
- 3Knead gently then place on a buttered platter. If it's too hot to knead, you can just pour onto the butter platter. Cool then cut.
