This recipe is from my mom's church cookbook, which was submitted by a lady named Thelma.

I haven't made this yet but wanted to post the recipe for Kelly since she is looking for a Penuche recipe.

Whenever I make this I will be sure to add more details if I see that to be helpful.

How to Make Thelma's Penuche Fudge

Step-by-Step

  1. Combine sugar, milk and butter in a saucepan. Boil with as little stirring as possible until it reaches the soft ball stage. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in vanilla then fold in nuts. Beat until thick and cool enough to knead.
  3. Knead gently then place on a buttered platter. If it's too hot to knead, you can just pour onto the butter platter. Cool then cut.
