Snack Mix of Death

Bea L.

Ooey, gooey goodness to die for! A friend of mine found this recipe in a newspaper last year, made it, shared it and then I was hooked. I really think that I could eat it all at one's that good to me. So, yes, it can kill you if you make it often, which I don't. I have rated it with 5 stars but it needs 500 stars! I just gotta share this with you all...I made it this past summer, took a gallon bag of it with me to the beach to share with a couple of girlfriends that were already there. When I finally hooked up with them I had already eaten 3/4's of the bag on my 2 1/2 hour trip down there. When I got back home a few days later I came inside and asked my hubby where the rest of the snack mix was and he had already finished it off!!! He actually did me a favor.

WARNING: very addictive!!!

2 box
golden grahams cereal (12oz each)
6 oz
sliced almonds
2 stick
1 1/2 c
1 1/2 c
white corn syrup

1Combine cereals and almonds in a very large bowl or dish pan and set aside.
2In saucepan, heat butter, sugar and syrup to a rolling boil, stirring to combine. Boil 4 minutes longer then pour over cereal mixture.
3Spread onto 3 large cookie sheets and let cool to room temperature.
4Break apart and store in gallon ziplock bags or plastic containers w/lids.
5This is so good but it is on the gooey side. Hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
6TIP: you can also throw in some pecans, cashews or walnuts. I don't measure those.
