Ingredients
- - powdered sugar
- 1 cup water
- 3 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons flavoring oil (desired flavor)
- 1 1/2 cups light corn syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon desired food coloring
How To Make rock candy

Step 1Cover an 18*24 inch strip of heavy duty foil or a large cookie sheet with powdered sugar. Mix the sugar, syrup and water in a large, heavy saucepan. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.

Step 2Boil without stirring until the temperature reaches 310 degrees Fahrenheit. Remove from heat.

Step 3Stir in flavoring oil and food coloring. Pour onto powdered sugar and cool.

Step 4Break into pieces or cut strips, work quickly before it cools.
