I love making candy. The problem is "I like eating candy too". You will love this recipe, and will make it on a regular basis. TRUST ME. ENJOY !

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups sugar
- 2 cups light karo syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- - nuts optional
How To Make reethy's carmel goody candy

Step 1In 2.5 quart sauce pan, add the butter, karo, sugar and salt.

Step 2Bring to boil @ 250 F, on a candy thermometer.

Step 3Add VERY SLOWLY the can of milk. Slowly will keep at boiling temp.

Step 4Bring temp. to 245-250 again.

Step 5Remove from heat.

Step 6Stir in vanilla, and (nuts if desired) Pour in buttered pan, let cool completly

Step 7Wrap in wax paper or celliphane. ENJOY!
