Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    butter
  • 2 c
    sugar
  • 2 c
    light karo syrup
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 1 can(s)
    evaporated milk
  • 1 Tbsp
    vanilla extract
  • ·
    nuts optional

How to Make Reethy's Carmel Goody Candy

Step-by-Step

  1. In 2.5 quart sauce pan, add the butter, karo, sugar and salt.
  2. Bring to boil @ 250 F, on a candy thermometer.
  3. Add VERY SLOWLY the can of milk. Slowly will keep at boiling temp.
  4. Bring temp. to 245-250 again.
  5. Remove from heat.
  6. Stir in vanilla, and (nuts if desired)

    Pour in buttered pan, let cool completly
  7. Wrap in wax paper or celliphane.


    ENJOY!
