This is not your normal chocolate fudge. I got this from a coworker 20 years ago, nd I've made it over the years. It's something unexpeced in a candy. Take my word it's good.

Ingredients

  • 4 - squars unsweetened chocolate
  • 1 1/2 cups unseasoned pinto beans ( homemade or caned) drained
  • 1 1/4 cups margarine
  • 2 1/2 pounds powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How To Make pinto bean fudge

  • Step 1
    melt chocolate and butter, mash the beans and add to the mixture, and mix well.
  • Step 2
    add vanilla, slowly add the powdered sugar and mix well.
  • Step 3
    pour into a buttered 9x13" pan , put into the refrigerator until set, about one hour, cut into squars . ( this should be kept in the refrigerator because of the beans)
