This is a different kind of candy. We usually make it on our candy making day during the Christmas holidays.

Ingredients

1 pound peppermint candy, crushed
1 pound white almond bark
1/2 teaspoon peppermint extract

How To Make peppermint patties

Step 1

Melt bark in top of double boiler.

Step 2

Mix the crushed peppermints and peppermint extract into the melted almond bark.
Step 3

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper.
Step 4

A fancier version: Take two miniature peppermint candy canes and make a heart shape. Spoon or pipe candy coating into centers of hearts to fill spaces.
