peanut butter fudge

There seem to be so many recipes for this candy. Here is the one I use! (as requested) :-) I gently pressed mini chocolate chips into fudge prior to setting.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 1/4 cups brown sugar, dark
  • 1/2 cup milk, whole
  • 3/4 cup peanut butter (brand of choice, i like jif!)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 3 1/4 cups powdered sugar

How To Make peanut butter fudge

  • Melt butter.
    Step 1
    Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
  • Add brown sugar and milk.
    Step 2
    Stir in brown sugar and milk.
  • Bring to a boil and continue to boil for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
    Step 3
    Bring to a boil and continue to boil for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
    Step 4
    Stir in peanut butter and vanilla.
  • Pour over powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl and beat until smooth.  Pour into 8 x 8 inch pan.
    Step 5

  • Chill until firm and cut into squares.
