peanut butter fudge

These are another of our favorite candies to make for Christmas. We used to make this fudge with my grandmother.

yield 3 1/2 pounds

Ingredients For peanut butter fudge

  • 1/2 c
    butter or margarine
  • 3/4 c
    smooth peanut butter
  • 1 lb
    light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1/2 c
    milk
  • 1 lb
    confectioners sugar

How To Make peanut butter fudge

  • 1
    In a medium pan, melt butter, stir in brown sugar and milk. Bring to a boil, boil and stir 2 minutes.

    Remove from heat, stir in peanut butter and vanilla. Mix in confectioners sugar, beat until smooth.

    Spread into buttered 9" baking pan. Chill until firm. Cut into squares
