peanut bon bons
These are Christmas candies that we would make with my grandma every year. I like them without any coating so I always leave some by themselves. To complete the Christmas candy, also make chocolate covered pretzels and chocolate covered marshmallows

Ingredients
- 2 cups peanut butter
- 3 cups crisp rice cereal
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine
- 2 packages (6 oz each) butterscotch pieces
- 1 pound sifted sugar (4 1/2 cups)
- 2 packages (6oz each) semi-sweet chocolate
How To Make peanut bon bons

Step 1IN a saucepan, melt peanut butter and butter.

Step 2In a large bowl, combine powder sugar and cereal; pour peanut butter mixture. Blend together with hands.

Step 3Form into 1/2" balls. Chill firm.

Step 4Melt butterscotch and chocolate pieces in separate double boilers. Dip have the candies in each coating. Place on waxed paper lined baking sheets.
