Ingredients
- 3/4 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/2 cup evaporated milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 cups powdered sugar or icing sugar
- 1 cup chopped nuts optional
How To Make no fail brown sugar fudge

Step 1Butter 8" pan Melt butter in saucepan. Add brown sugar. Cook over low heat for 2 minutes stirring constantly. Add evaporated milk, cook, stirring until mixture comes to a boil.

Step 2Continue to stir, bring to soft ball stage and remove from heat. Let cool slightly Stir in vanilla Gradually add the powdered sugar beating vigorously by hand or with beater till it is a fudge like consistency (2 min) Stir in nuts Pour into buttered pan.

Step 3Chill several hours before cutting.
