Add to Grocery List

  • 4 c
  • 1 c
  • 1 c
    light karo syrup
  • 1 (1 oz) bottle
    flavoring oil ( we like cinnamon)
  • ·
    food coloring ( add drops to reach desired color)

How to Make Hard Candy


  1. Combine all ingredients and cook until temperature reaches 300 degrees.
  2. Remove from heat and add food coloring. Mix well, then add flavoring oil.( the whole bottle): mix well.
  3. Pour into shallow pan with sides. Let stand until cool and hard.
  4. Break into pieces and coat with powdered sugar.
  5. Store in candy dish or jar.
