fudge my way

This recipe makes a very smooth and creamy fudge, and your kitchen does not get overheated in the summer. I don't remember where i got the recipe from, but have used it ever since the first time I tried it..

Ingredients For fudge my way

  • 1 1/2 c
  • 1 can
    evaporated milk
  • 1/2 stick
  • 3 c
    miniature marshmallows
  • 12 oz
    chocolate chips
  • 1 c
    chopped nuts, optional
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract

How To Make fudge my way

    Butter a 9" x 13" pan and set aside. Put sugar, evaporated milk and butter in a large microwaveable bowl. cover and heat on high for about 6 minutes until boiling. While this is cooking, gather remaining ingredients except vanilla in another bowl. Carefully remove cover from boiling ingredients avoiding steam. Continue to microwave for an additional 10 to 15 minutes, stirring every minute until soft ball stage is reached. Stir in remaining ingredients including vanilla. Keep stirring until chocolate chips and marshmallows are melted and well blended. Spread in buttered pan. Cool for several hours.

    NOTE" You can vary this by omitting chocolate chips and substituting butterscotch chips, or vanilla chips, or raspberry chips, etc. I also change this by using vanilla chips and adding a little Kool-Aid powder or gelatin powder. Be careful not to add too much.
