Dark Chocolate Caramel Sea Salt Bark

Darlene Sweet

My niece and I were recently shopping in downtown Nashville, and we stopped into a quaint candy shop. The chocolatier was creating a chocolate masterpiece including milk chocolate, caramel and sea salt. I watched her, and I even bought a piece to replicate. Although the milk chocolate was delicious, I thought dark chocolate would be scrumptious. I was correct! This quick and easy bark makes a great hostess gift!

Notes from the Test Kitchen:
This bark is so easy to make! I'll never buy some from the store again. It went great on some vanilla ice cream... fancied it up a bit. I found myself snacking on this too!

12 oz. bag(s)
dark chocolate chips
4 oz
caramel sauce
1 tsp
sea salt (fine)

1Assemble the three ingredients.
2Line jelly roll pan with parchment or wax paper. Put chocolate chips in microwave safe bowl.
3Microwave chips for 90 seconds or until they can be smoothly stirred using spatula.
4Spread melted chocolate evenly on baking sheet.
5Spoon several spoonfuls of caramel randomly on top of chocolate.
6Use knife to cut caramel through chocolate.
7Evenly sprinkle sea salt on top of chocolate/caramel.
8Place baking sheet into freezer for thirty minutes or until well set.
9Cut or break bark into pieces. Great as a garnish for ice cream, too! Store refrigerated in air tight container.
