This is my favorite fudge. I have been making it for over 35 years. I can't have the holidays without it.

Stove Top


  • 3 c
  • 2/3 c
    cocoa, unsweetened
  • 1/8 tsp
  • 1 1/2 c
    evaporated milk
  • 1/4 c
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 c
    pecans, in pieces

How to Make Cocoa Fudge


  1. Combine all ingredients in medium size pan.
  2. Bring to boil continue cooking till soft ball stage. 234 degree soft ball stage.
  3. Stirring ocassionaly to keep from burning.
  4. Remove from heat add butter,vanilla and pecans.
  5. Do not stir for 3-5 minutes
  6. Stir and pour in buttered pan
  7. cool then cut in squares
