light corn syrup
1/4 c
1/4 tsp
cream of tartar
8 - 10
drops peppermint extract
red and green food coloring

How to Make Christmas Mints


  • 1In 2 quart glass dish, combine sugar, corn syrup, milk & cream of tartar. Cook on High 5 - 6 minutes or until few drops in cold water forms soft ball (238 degrees)
  • 2Let stand 3 minutes to cool.
  • 3Beat with mixer until creamy. Flavor with 8 - 10 drops peppermint extract. Divide into half and add food coloring.
  • 4Drop mixture by teaspoonful onto foil. When cool, store in airtight container.
