Ingredients

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon cream of tartar
  • 8 - 10 - drops peppermint extract
  • - red and green food coloring

How To Make christmas mints

  • Step 1
    In 2 quart glass dish, combine sugar, corn syrup, milk & cream of tartar. Cook on High 5 - 6 minutes or until few drops in cold water forms soft ball (238 degrees)
  • Step 2
    Let stand 3 minutes to cool.
  • Step 3
    Beat with mixer until creamy. Flavor with 8 - 10 drops peppermint extract. Divide into half and add food coloring.
  • Step 4
    Drop mixture by teaspoonful onto foil. When cool, store in airtight container.
