My mother in law showed me this treat, whe is a wonderful cook. I fell in love with it immediately, and I am sure you will too..also it is so easy to make!

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    white sugar
  • 2 oz/1/2/c
    2 squares unswee chocolate
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 Tbsp
    light corn syrup
  • 2/3 c
    milk, whole
  • 1 tsp
    vanilla extract
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 c
    oatmeal, uncooked
  • 1 c
    peanut butter or 1/2 c chopped peacans/ both
  • 1 c
    coconut, shredded
  • CHOCOLATE NUT DROPS

How to Make Chocolate Nut Drops

Step-by-Step

  1. combine sugar, chocolate, salt, syrup & milk in med size sauce pan. Cook over med heat, stiring often,to 236 degrees F., or until a soft ball forms when dropped into cold water. Remove from heat stir in vanilla, butter, oats, coconut and nuts or peanut butter. Drop immediately using a teaspoon to form round drop, place on wax paper. Let cool. Then fall in love !
